Funky Buddha Butta’ Cup Double Brown Ale Review

Well, if you’re looking for the perfect beer to drink while putting up your Christmas tree on a cold or warm day depending on where you live, look no further…Funky Buddha has you covered.

Located in Oakland Park, Florida and brewing delicious beers since 2010, Funky Buddha really knocked it out of the park with this beer.  The Butta’ Cup Double Brown Ale which is part of their “Little Buddha” small batch series is brewed with peanuts, vanilla and cacao nibs, all perfectly crafted together delivering a huge flavor and delicious aroma.  I have been waiting so long to try this beer, and I finally got one mailed to me by my buddy Dustin who lives in Key West!

This beer pours a dark chestnut brown with a thick creamy tan head.  The aroma is dominated by peanuts/peanut butter, milk chocolate, and a hint of vanilla.  The taste kind of follows the aroma.  Up front you get a real nice creamy peanut butter flavor, followed by sweet milk chocolate, a hint of butterscotch and a ever so slight salty aftertaste.  This beer is exactly as advertised. Huge flavor and huge aroma!

Next time you find yourself in Florida, or on your way back from Key West like we were, swing by the brewery like we did, stock up on some of their great staple beers like Hop Gun, Hop Simulator, and Floridian, grab yourself some of their Little Buddha series beers, and enjoy them like we did! Cheers!
